Leadership Team

Nick Wolf, Managing Director, graduated in 2014 from Regis University with a degree in Computer Science. A seven-time state champion in Taekwondo, he teaches martial arts to children and adults of all ages. He is still active in his training, and is currently working towards his fifth-degree black belt. Nick has worked with MindDance since 2014 as a Teacher, Site Leader, Site Leader Coach, and our Operations Director. As our Managing Director, Nick currently leads sites, supervises Site Leaders and heads program design and development. You can reach Nick at

Benedikt Hochwartner, Program Director, joined MindDance in November of 2016. He has been working as surveying assistant for the Federal Bureau of Surveying and Measurements in Austria since 2009. Benedikt has a BA in Ancient History from the University of Vienna and a BA in classical double bass from the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. He is currently working towards his Masters in musicology and double bass and is member and leader of the bass group of the Vienna Jeunesse Orchestra where he enjoys coaching younger musicians. Site Leaders

Alex Solorio is a junior at the University of Denver enrolled in the University Honors program and majoring in Computer Science. He was introduced to the Scratch program in the 5th grade and became hooked! Alex has worked with children for many summers as a martial arts camp staff member where he learned how to engage with kids through play and cooperative games. In his spare time, Alex enjoys volunteering with environmental sustainability and community service projects. Alex joined the MindDance team in May of 2016. He can be reached at

Evan Hicks is a senior at the University of Denver majoring in Animation and Video Game Design and minoring in Emergent Digital Practices and Spanish. Since 2014 he has worked as the Staff Cartoonist for DU’s student newspaper The Clarion. Evan is an enthusiastic storyteller and enjoys using emergent media and digital technology to tell stories in new and exciting ways. When he’s not creating with his computer, he enjoys hiking, playing soccer, and ultimate frisbee. Evan began teaching with MindDance in 2015. He can be reached at

Lisa-Maria Baumgartner is a freshman at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and gained experience working in the tech industry as an intern at FESTO corporate Austria. She is also a medal-winning fencer for the Vienna Sports Club fencing team and active in her training for upcoming tournaments all over Europe. In her spare time Lisa enjoys playing the piano, singing, reading, photography and watching movie classics. She joined MindDance in September of 2016. You can reach Lisa at

Madison “Madi” Eaton is a senior at the University of Denver, majoring in International Relations and Computer Science. In the fall of 2016, she spent a semester abroad in Budapest Hungary where she tutored students in English at the Eötvös Collegium. Madi has also served as a dude ranch camp counselor, and has many years of experience tutoring and babysitting elementary-aged children, and in refereeing youth lacrosse. You can reach Madi at

Zsófi Szalavári is a freshman at the University of Vienna majoring in Astronomy. She has a strong interest in Astrophysics and Cosmology but is also excited about new discoveries in any scientific field. Zsófi gathered experience in working with children through tutoring younger students in mathematics before she graduated from highschool. In her free time she enjoys travelling and hiking, photography and playing the flute. Zsófi joined the MindDance team in September of 2016. She can be reached at


Gerardo “Gg” Galvez is a retired software engineer, originally from the Philippines, where he managed a popular radio station. Gg has a strong interest in music, coding, and game design. He has five children. Of his three oldest, two daughters are recent graduates of DU and one is a current DU student. He has been teaching with MindDance since 2013 as a Teacher and Site Leader. Nick Sundermeyer is a sophomore at the University of Denver majoring in Computer Science and Game Development with a double minor in Mathematics and Emergent Digital Practices. Nick comes to Myers Learning with hands-on experience working in animation and game development as well as tech tutoring experience. He completed an internship with Tricky Software, Inc. testing and fixing mobile games, and has volunteered as a tech tutor for senior citizens in the use of devices such as iPads and smartphones. Nick also has babysitting experience and enjoys time away from the screen playing both soccer and the drums. Nick joined the MindDance team in March of 2016.

Intern Teachers

Grant Kochmann is a sophomore at the University of Denver with a major in Computer Science and minors in Mathematics and Entrepreneurship. Grant also has experience as a youth lacrosse official and enjoys working with kids.

Maxine Sachar is a University of Denver student who double majors in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in English. Maxine has research experience in psychology labs at DU and lots of experience working with children. She has worked as an assistant teacher for a non-profit organization, Village Learning Place, which provides after school education for public school children in Baltimore, Maryland. In addition, she volunteered to teach children English while she studied abroad in Spain. She has volunteered to teach low income students to read with Reading Partners. Maxine has also held caretaking positions for children through her volunteer work for DU’s Ritchie Center where she works as a service associate.

Tim Bouraoui is a fun-loving sophomore at the University of Denver, majoring in Engineering. After participating as a key member of his high school robotics team, Tim has continued to give back by volunteering for multiple organizations such as VEX and FIRST robotics where he assists high schoolers and middle schoolers in robot development. In addition, he has also planned and led workshops such as the Miss Maker Fair, that specifically targets increasing young girls’ interest and involvement with STEM topics.

Troy Williams is a sophomore at the University of Denver with a double major in Computer Science and Biochemistry and a minor in Mathematics. Troy has participated in many different sports, and in various part-time jobs and internships, such as designing software for Rocky Mountain LLC, and working on IT projects for City of Thornton Information Technology Department. He also has leadership and volunteer experience working as a mentor for WyldLife, helping troubled children overcome obstacles they face. Troy is a Daniel’s Scholar Ambassador which entails a scholarship awarded to those who have exceptional character, leadership skills, and community involvement.

Will Strong is a graduate of the Scratch Lab @ Polaris who is now a 10th grader at East High School with a passion for ice hockey, coding, and teamwork. Will started with MindDance as a student and Peer Mentor and now enjoys teaching students in the school where he first joined a MindDance Scratch Lab!
